A film workshop in Karhkiv
VELES Kinolab is a project led by Mediagroup8 (Kharkiv) in March 2025, helping children and youth in the region realised film projects, communicate and collaborate, and improve communication skills.

- Cultural Workers Studio co-operated with the NGOs head Katya Balabay in the creation of a workshop for IDP and resident youth in Kharkiv, a part of a continuous program of camps, workshops, and events.
Producing, Presenting, Technique
- Studio member Ann Krekhno supported with production management,
- Anita Kopylenko delivered a workshop on Self-presentation and,
- Richard Pettifer on film technique.
- As well, out colleague the filmmaker Anna Chasova delivered a lecture on film history.

- The project was supported by zusa and Insha Osvita’s “Culture Helps” program through a project grant.
Filling a need
- Despite the ongoing full-scale invasion, there needs to be access to cultural infrustructure for kids at all ages of development, including IDPs, EDPs, and locals.
